On Sunday the 19th of May the programme “Carry On’s at the Castle” was aired on National television.
In Mid 2018 we allowed filming to take place under the agreement that the film would show the complexities and challenges facing a luxury historic venue in the 21st Century.
We are proud of our wonderful venue and have successfully delivered over 450 Weddings and events since we purchased the property 14 years ago.
We would like to state that we are disappointed with some of the elements of the film and feel that the film does not represent the incredible efforts and love that goes into making sure all our customers are delighted with our service and quality.
Since November 2018 Richard, our handy man has moved onto a new career and we wish him well with his new endeavours.
We have also made the decision to employ an external marketing & hospitality specialist to take the business forward.
We accepted that we required professional advice to enable us to continue to improve our business and reputation.
We are very positive about the forthcoming summer season with all aspects of the business growing and with a continued focus on delivering first class weddings, functions and bed and breakfast accommodation.
We hope that the film genuinely portrayed a candid and affectionate insight into the struggles and challenges that we face in a very demanding sector.
We acknowledge that we continue to strive to improve and on the rare occasion we will fall short. We are passionate about our venue and customer service is our utmost priority.
For many years, including 2018, we are humbled and proud to receive kind feedback from our many delighted couples and guests and we continue to strive for this excellence.
We look forward to a exciting few years ahead with a new team of staff and management, plus a developing, reinvigorated business.
The future is very positive.
