Did you know that you can hire Bickleigh Castle for corporate events? During June, we’ll be welcoming Syracuse Managed Solutions Ltd (SMS Training), who will be joining us to deliver several safety-focused training courses that would be beneficial for a whole range of individuals and groups. Our dedicated training facility in Somerset provides a safe and secure location for all delegates.
First Response Emergency Care Training
To kick off the training season at our venue, SMS will be delivering First Response Emergency Care Training (FREC 3) between June 4 -8 and June 11-15. This course will allow learners to be prepared for a number of trauma situations and although desirable, requires no previous First Aid training to enroll. Therefore, this course would be recommended for those seeking a career in the emergency services and ambulance service. However, this course would also benefit individuals working within high risk environments. So, some of the other roles that would benefit most from this course include:
- Event first aiders
- Fire fighters
- Police fire arms and medics
- Close protection operative: (this qualification is recognized by the Security Industries Authority (SIA))
- Expedition Leaders UK and overseas
- Journalists working overseas
Hazardous Environment Awareness Training
Later in the month, between June 18-22, SMS will be offering Hazardous Environment Awareness Training (HEAT), ensures that the employers legislative responsibility to provide training is fully met and that all attending staff are fully prepared for their deployment to locations of elevated risk. Everybody has the right to feel safe in their work, and this training will prepare individuals to recognise, avoid and manage potential threats when living and working in hazardous or uncertain locations.
Individuals or groups from all sectors would benefit from this course include:
- Development Agencies
- Oil, Gas and Energy
- Commercial Organisations
- Travelling Executives
- Young Travellers
Our Hazardous Environment Training Courses combine both theoretical and practical elements and are delivered by current and competent professionals. Whether travelling to, working or even living abroad, employers have a ‘duty of care’ to ensure that their staff have the knowledge and tools to deal with the unique challenges and risks they may face.
