Dine with LittlePod at the romantic Bickleigh Castle on September 1st.
Indulge in a 6 dish fusion menu, celebrating the culinary history of vanilla, from Tudor delicacies to contemporary cuisine, complete with a goblet of wine.
Dr Paul Cleave from Exeter University will guide us through the customs and cultures of the Golden Age, unlocking the forgotten world of the Tudors and its legacies; for example, why do we shake our napkin?
The Evening
Elizabeth I saved vanilla for another generation. In the reign of Elizabeth II, vanilla is under threat again. LittlePod launched National Real Vanilla Day at Bickleigh Castle, and we are thrilled to return to celebrate our Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
The evening begins at 6’o’clock with dinner being served at 6:45. There is also the unique opportunity to spend the night in this memorable setting at the one-off price of £145 B&B!
Look out for period music, an Elizabethan costume exhibition, whitepot and more!
The Venue – Bickleigh Castle
Bickleigh Castle is a Grade I listed building steeped in magic, mystery and enchantment. The Great Hall provides the most elegant setting for the evening’s celebrations. View the venue here »
